Ibis Styles Puteaux La Défense is a haven in the Parisian business district
The opening ceremony at the ibis Styles Puteaux La Défense held on 17 September 2019 celebrated the end of a major construction project for AccorInvest and the beginning of a great adventure for the hotel manager Stéphane Lecarpentier and his team. Presentation of one of the new jewels in our portfolio.
On the big day, Cédric Durand, COO for Southern Europe did not conceal his pleasure and emotion from the audience: ″The ibis Styles Puteaux La Défense is the first development project of the AccorInvest era and what is more it was carried out with Europequipements, our historical partner. This new HQE-certified hotel confirms our corporate responsibility stance and integrates perfectly in the planning approach to the Bergères eco-neighborhood.″
An ideal location
It has to be said that the ibis Styles Puteaux La Défense stands out amidst the dynamic Parisian business district. This original 7 storey building catches the eye among the high-rise towers. The hotel is located sufficiently close to the forecourt of la Défense (only 10 minutes on foot) and its numerous listed companies while at the same time enjoying the peace of the new Bergères eco-neighborhood and its future park covering 28,000 m2. In addition to its pleasant location, the hotel will benefit from the Grand Paris transport development scheme in the near future. ″The ibis Styles Puteaux La Défense adds to the range of hotels available in this district close to Paris and offers a cocoon in this booming neighborhood″, comments Christophe Garnier, the hotel’s Asset Manager.
A destination for all
The hotel has been designed to welcome a varied clientele, from business travellers who want to be near the companies at La Défense to couples and families wishing to discover Paris and its region. Designed by the interior architect Pascal de Pingon, the hotel offers 84 rooms ranging from 17 to 28 square metres, including 50 standard doubles, 15 superior rooms, 7 triple and 12 family rooms. The check-in takes place in the large lobby where the traditional reception desk has disappeared. Equipped with tablets and the Fols technology developed by our partner Accor, the ibis team favours a warmer, more informal approach upon the clients’ arrival at the hotel. The Ninety 7 bar is open every day during the week to provide travellers with snacks or for people working in the district to have an afterwork drink.
The ibis Styles Puteaux La Défense is the result of 17 months of construction work and a great deal of teamwork, as the hotel manager Stéphane Lecarpentier explains: ″ I joined the project in May 2018. The first stone was laid one month later. Monitoring the work requires regular discussions during design committees and site meetings with the Eiffage group. Like this wee can see how the work is progressing, ensure that the brand’s standards are being observed and take into account any operational issues.″ This type of construction assembles a wide range of skills around the same table. A shared moment that Stéphane Lecarpentier appreciates: ″I have benefited from the insights and support of our Asset Manager Christophe Garnier and the Europequipements representative Alain Mineo, as well as support from Robert Montes, DOPM Accor, and Florence Debruyne, New Hotel Opening Manager for Accor. I also appreciated the trust and freedom of action and exchanges during elaborating plans with the architect and Europequipements for the bar and offices, where design is combined with the operational part. Lastly, Olivier Delgrange, Construction Project Manager for AccorInvest, handled all the monitoring of the technical installations and operations prior to delivery, enabling me to work on the hotel’s marketing″.
Stéphane Lecarpentier and his team now devote themselves to keeping their promise: ″We take pleasure in giving you pleasure″.
