During its 6th edition of the 100 Days Award, the EIM-KPMG jury chose to award « First 100 days » prize in the resilience to the Covid crisis category, Gilles Clavié, CEO of AccorInvest.
Appointed to the general executive management in July 2020, Gilles Clavié mobilized the entire company to face the crisis that particularly affected the hotel industry. This prize honours the measures taken to ensure the safety of AccorInvest employees and customers, as well as all initiatives related to its liquidity and consolidation of its financial balance sheet.
Affected by the crisis management, these first 100 days were a particularly sensitive period. « I perceive this prize as a reward for the entire company, for all AccorInvest employees. It is thanks to their attentiveness and their ability to adapt that we have been able to take the necessary measures, in all areas, to protect our Group », commented Gilles Clavié.
100 days during which the current major transformation project was born. Its objective: to emerge stronger from the crisis by meeting the new expectations of customers and employees in the new world after the pandemic. A plan focused on four lines by 2022:
• A reorganisation of the Group around its two business lines: Operational Excellence and Asset Management;
• Financial restructuring supported by its shareholders and banks to guarantee the Group’s future;
• An asset management plan to benefit from the hotel portfolio most adapted to marketplace developments;
• In-depth analysis of all Group processes and tools in order to transform the Group from the inside.
Under the leadership of Gilles Clavié, the teams shared a common “moving forward together” roadmap based on trust, transparency, and cooperation. « The company is like a spiderweb, when you touch a thread, the whole web is impacted. So together, we were able to meet this collective challenge to make AccorInvest a stronger, more resilient, and better structured organization. We are moving forward together, and each plays a key role in ensuring the balance that will allow us to approach the future with determination, » concludes the CEO. For Gilles Clavié, if this prize rewards his appointment, it illustrates above all the resilience of an entire company driven by the willpower of its employees.
