As a responsible hotel investor, owner and operator, present in 28 countries with more than 850 hotels, we are supporting Manon and Francois’ initiative through our partnership with La Belle Ville (The Beautiful City) to create with them, our beautiful cities of tomorrow. La Belle Ville is totally aligned with AccorInvest ESG (Environmental, Social & Governance) strategy, as promoting circular economy, reducing our carbon footprint, improving guest’s well-being, offering sustainable food, and supporting local projects and associations have been identified as key challenges to achieve the Group ESG ambitions.
The project La Belle Ville is a project led by the association Dao Production. Created in April 2020 by the two French François Marques and Manon Turina, former employee of AccorInvest in the UK teams this association aims to raise awareness and inspire all actors of the ecological transition through the production, direction and distribution of videos and self-produced movies accessible to all.
La Belle Ville: an exciting documentary film-travel project that aims to meet, on all continents of the world, these people with revolutionary initiatives that reconnect our cities with nature through urban agriculture, the greening of cities and the recovery of bio-waste.
Their objective: to raise awareness among the general public, to be a source of inspiration for all the actors in the ecological transition (city dwellers, private companies and local authorities), and to support the reintroduction of nature in the city through the sharing of concrete solutions.
A film, but not only: their final goal is not only to inform, Manon et François also wish to invite people to take action. To do this, they will organize ciné-action in French cinemas, they will create a pedagogical file for schools, they will communicate data sheets on each initiative they meet and finally, they will share all their discoveries on social networks!
The agenda: François and Manon left on April 09th to start the shooting of the film in North America. After having met fantastic initiatives in Mexico and the United States, they will be back in May to start their European tour! The tour of Asia is planned for August depending on the evolution of the sanitary situation.

AccorInvest is pleased to participate in this fantastic journey, offering them hospitality in each city they will be visiting to meet initiatives in favor of bringing nature back to the city. In our hotels in Paris, London, Brussels, Berlin, Zurich, Milan, Tokyo and Singapore, we will open our doors to them to stay for the duration of the filming and for an enriching moment of sharing!

Urban gardens in hotels, to supply the fridges in our restaurant kitchens?
This is one of our exemplary initiatives to bring nature back to the city, which is as appealing to customers as it is to our internal teams! More than 250 establishments have already taken action by installing gardens on their roofs or terraces, which represents nearly a third of our total number of restaurants!
Our objective is twofold: to help maintain biodiversity in cities and to develop urban agriculture. As cities continue to grow, the question of how to supply them is a real challenge for society. La Belle Ville meets these objectives 100%! So here we go for a strong and ambitious collaboration.
AccorInvest x La Belle Ville: a collaboration to bring out even more positive initiatives!
During their visit to each hotel, they will organize innovation roundtables with AccorInvest teams to turn good intentions into action! By meeting these many positive initiatives around the world, they will be able to provide our teams with a new source of inspiration and enable them to develop new exceptional projects, at home, at the local level.
It will also be an opportunity for the team of La Belle Ville to discover some of the most inspiring initiatives of AccorInvest hotels. In each hotel, they will have a long talk with the GMs and their teams about the projects launched in the hotel and their vision on the topic of circular economy, greening, urban agriculture and biowaste recovery.
