AccorInvest supports Energy Observer for « Paris de l’hydrogène »

With the support of the city of Paris, AccorInvest’s partner Energy Observer is organising « Paris de l’hydrogène ». Energy Observer was originally the name of the first autonomous, zero emission hydrogen-powered vessel, acting as both an advocacy and a laboratory for energy transition. At the event being held on the Champ de Mars from 20 to 30 May 2021, Energy Observer is presenting its new exhibition village, dedicated to ecological transition, renewable energy and hydrogen. In celebration, the Eiffel Tower is being illuminated using hydrogen yesterday, 25 May.

A wide range of key players in energy and hydrogen mobility solutions will also be present to put forward a practical, optimistic and innovative perspective of tomorrow’s cities. In this context, Energy Observer and its partners aim to contribute towards making Paris a reference in clean, innovative and sustainable energy solutions.

for the first time, the Eiffel Tower is being illuminated with certified renewable hydrogen via zero-emission electro hydrogen generators developed by EODev (energy Observer Developments), the fledgling company that resulted from research and development work carried out aboard the boat Energy Observer.

The research and development work for energy transition carried out by Energy Observer is in line with AccorInvest’s ESG (Environmental, Social and Corporate Governance) aims and strategy. Responsible energy use and the reduction of the Group’s carbon footprint are AccorInvest’s priorities in fulfilling its environmental commitments.
